General information

Flights

  • We travel by scheduled flights to airports in the proximity of our accommodation
  • Our pice includes a cabin bag and a minimum 20 kg checked-in bag
  • We provide individual extensions of trips, we book Budapest flights to alternative dates

Transport

  • For local transport, we normally hire private minibuses with local drivers who know our destinations well
  • In some cases, we use other means of transport, such as steam railway or public transport frequented by locals, too
  • Sometimes it is good to avoid travelling on wheels, and we also need some exercise! During our short walking tours, we can slow down and enjoy nature

Accommodation

  • At our holiday cottages, there are single, twin and double rooms. We divide the beds amongst our group members so that people travelling together and those of identical gender stay in the same room, therefore room arrangements can change flexibly prior to travel
  • At our accommodation, not all rooms are en-suite, there is normally a bathroom for 3-4 persons
  • Our cottages serve as our base for a week with comfortable rooms, spacious living areas, fully-equipped kitchens, large dining rooms, fireplaces, washing machines, barbecue facilities and wifi connection

Meals

  • Our home is our castle for a week where we can all dine together in a familiar atmosphere. We pre-arrange the purchase of groceries for our on-site meals which are all included in the price.
  • Our hosts do not offer catering in the mornings therefore we make our own breakfast from the weekly food supply.
  • Our holiday cottages have all cooking facilities for making our own lunch and dinner. In the course of our educational tours, and mostly during our language courses, we have meals on site at our accommodation, either prepared by us or delivered from restaurants.
  • Some of our restaurant meals are pre-set menus included in the price. In other cases, certain meals have been excluded from the programme cost and it is on your own decision to enjoy what you like.
  • When free time is given in the programme, you can choose the restaurant where you want to sample some more local dishes
  • All restaurant drinks are excluded from the programme cost. However, at our accommodation we provide a basic supply of spirits, wine, beer or cider characteristic of the region.
